Celebration is a beautiful master-planned community located near Walt Disney World Resortin southwest suburban Orlando and originally developed by The Walt Disney Company in the mid-1990s.

By 2001, it was named “New Community of the Year” by the Urban Land Institute. Several Disney business units occupy the town’s office buildings. The town itself remains directly connected to the Disney World resorts via one of its primary streets, World Drive, which begins near the Magic Kingdom.

Then-Disney CEO Michael Eisner took an especially keen interest in the development of the town in the early days.He encouraged executives at Disney Development Co. to “make history” and develop a town worthy of the Disney brand and legacy that extended to Walt Disney’s vision of an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT).

Executives collaborated with leaders in education, health and technology in addition to planners and architects to create the vision and operating policies for the town.
Covering 11 square miles, Celebration is composed of nine property types:

The town is separated into areas called Villages.

  • The Main Village, closest to downtown, is where the first homes were constructed.
  • North Village, houses the Georgetown Condos as well as Acadia Estate Homes.
  • The East Village includes Roseville Corner and Aquila Loop.
  • South Village houses the Spring Park Loop estate homes and Heritage Hall.

Condos near Disney World

Siena Condos complete the outer edge of South Village. Mirasol Condos include concierge service and a day spa. Artisan Park consists of condos, townhomes and single-family residences as well as a clubhouse consisting of a pool, gym, and restaurant.

Celebration is not zoned for short-term rental except for the Mona Lisa Condo Hotel community.

Celebration is an excellent choice for a primary residence, second home or a long-term rental investment. It has about 9,000 residents, and both single-family homes and condos each number almost 2,000.

As for new construction, David Weekley Homes is developing new homes over 40 acres in South Village starting at $289,000. The Spring Lake development is expected to consist of 152 garden and bungalow single-family homes and 109 townhomes and duplexes.

Downtown Celebration contains shops, restaurants, and other commercial establishments that are walking distance from many residences.

There is a splash pad for children next to the centrally located lake, surrounded by palm trees and benches.There are parks throughout the town as well as a fire department, post office, schools, hospital and golf course.Celebration has six Christian churches, one Jewish congregation and a hospital ministry.
